The owner of a listed building in Windsor used as a Chinese restaurant has been told to correct changes it had made to it without permission.

Y & F Plus Ltd was told to reverse changes it made to Grade II* listed, external 6 Church Street, which was built in about 1670, and currently used for the Nell Gwynn restaurant.

Some of the issues it was told to correct by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead included reopening a fireplace it had blocked and correct the sub-division of an attic room.

Y & F Plus had appealed the council's decision but the Planning Inspectorate supported the authority's order.
