Motorists have been warned to beware of flooded roads as the Isle of Man is set to be hit by heavy rain overnight.

Ronaldsway Met Office said rainfall of up to 1.2in (30mm) was expected in the early hours on Wednesday, with the biggest deluge expected across the hills.

A yellow weather warning has been put in place from midnight until 10:00 BST.

Forecasters said a band of persistent and heavy rain meant there was a risk of surface water flooding roads across the island.
