Two pedestrians in their 70s have died after being hit by a car.

The men, aged 76 and 77, were struck by a Skoda Fabia on Fleet Road in Aldershot, Hampshire, shortly after 06:30 BST.

A 66-year-old man from Wokingham, Berkshire, has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs and causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.

Hampshire police has appealed for witnesses.
