Leicestershire Police say the crash involved no other vehicles

A motorcyclist is in a life-threatening condition after a crash in Leicester.

The collision took place on Friday at about 21:05 BST in New Parks Way, according to Leicestershire Police.

The force confirmed the rider was seriously injured in the crash, which involved no other vehicles.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he remains in a "life-threatening condition", a spokesperson added.

They said the road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and was reopened at about 01:53 on Saturday.
