Disruption expected as Lewisham roadworks begin

Drivers and bus passengers in south-east London are set to face disruption with roadworks in Lewisham due to begin.
Lewisham Council is planning to resurface Lewis Grove and its adjacent footways, with Lewis Grove and part of Lewisham High Street closed northbound between Molesworth Street and Lee Bridge (A20) during the works.
Transport for London (TfL) said it was part of a £24m regeneration project to transform Lewisham Library, High Street and Market.
Works will be ongoing until spring 2025.
During this time buses will continue to operate southbound along Lewis Grove, with northbound buses diverted along Molesworth Street where the bus lane will be reinstated, TfL added.
The three northbound bus stops named Lewisham Centre (stops T, U and V) will be closed during the works and two temporary stops will be in place on nearby Molesworth Street.
There will also be changes to local bus routes including numbers 47, 136 and N136, which will operate directly to stop F Lewisham station/Loampit Vale, before returning to their normal route.
Route 47 and routes 136 and N136 will not stop at Lewisham station.
TfL has said other bus routes that will be diverted during the works are: 21, 54, 75, 108, 122, 129, 181, 185, 199, 208, 225, 284, 380, 436, 484, P4 and N199.
It encouraged customers to check their journeys using the planning tools on its website or the TfL Go app.
