A woman has been arrested after leaving the scene of a crash involving two vehicles.

Police were called to Market Place, Warminster, Wiltshire, at 15:45 BST on Thursday after one car crashed into a William Hill betting shop and a second vehicle left the scene.

A 47-year-old local woman has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, driving whilst under the influence and dangerous driving. She remains in police custody.

Both drivers were taken to hospital for medical checks, Wiltshire Police said.

The vehicle that damaged the betting shop has been removed and the smashed window has been boarded up.

"Fire, highways, council, SWAST, the public and ER CCTV were instrumental in making sure that this incident was dealt with as swiftly and as safely as possible."
