Mystery woman bought lawnmower after winning £1m
- Published
A mystery woman who bagged £1m on the lottery has bought a lawnmower as her first purchase.
The woman, known only as Mrs G from Norfolk, matched five numbers and the Bonus Ball on the National Lottery's Lotto draw.
Mrs G also planned to buy a bungalow with her winnings, a spokesperson said.
"She can now look forward to hunting for a new home and enjoy a spot of gardening there with her new lawnmower," said Andy Carter, senior winner's advisor at the National Lottery.
She won the draw on 13 April.
A spokesperson said interactive winners have the chance to release their name, remain anonymous or release some details, like Mrs G.
Her lawnmower purchase was likely more extravagant than HGV driver Lee Kuchczynski's, from Kendal, Cumbria, who bought a £17 backscratcher after winning a EuroMillions draw.
