A bar and grill could lose its licence following concerns by police.

MS Bar and Grill in Oldbury, West Midlands, will be the subject of a review by Sandwell Council.

Police said they were concerned by the uncontrolled consumption of alcohol and the age of people on the premises during last month's Black Country derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Officers also alleged there was a separate incident in December where owners failed to call 999 after a stabbing.

The FA Cup fourth-round clash between Black Country rivals West Brom and Wolves was on 28 January.

West Midlands Police said it had requested a review because it believed its concerns undermined three key licensing objectives.

These were the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, and the protection of children from harm.

"The police have serious concerns the premises is failing to promote the licensing objectives," officers said.

MS Bar and Grill did not respond to a request for comment by the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
