Boy, 12, found seriously injured in street

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old boy was found seriously injured in Kidderminster.

Officers said he was was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital with a "significant head injury" after being found at the junction of Wilton Avenue and Franche Road between 18:30 and 19:00 GMT on Sunday.

The boy's bike was also found in a hedge, West Mercia Police said.

It was not yet known how he was injured and inquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.

The force has asked for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
