Its time for dogs to go for their annual paddle at Peterborough Lido

Dogs have been invited to make a splash at a lido.

Peterborough Lido's end-of-season dog swim takes place on Sunday and Monday.

"Why not take your dog along for a fun splash in the pool, some serious doggy paddle training or a friendly race against their canine rivals?" said a statement issued by Vivacity, the lido's operator.

Three 90-minute sessions were available each day in the heated main pool, or a shallower pool for "less confident pups".

“We’re delighted to be bringing the dog swim back this year after sell out events in 2021 and 2022.

"All season long we receive enquiries from keen dog owners but we can only offer this before the lido closes for the winter,” the statement added.

At least one adult is expected to accompany their dog in the water. The first session starts at 10.00 BST. Booking is advisable.
