Arrest after car badly damages house in crash

A house in Leicestershire has been badly damaged after a car crashed into it.

Leicestershire Police said it received reports that a Range Rover collided with the property in Ratby shortly before 19:15 BST on Friday night.

The driver and passengers of the vehicle were reported to have left the scene following the crash.

A 24-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

No injuries have been reported and the suspect has been released on bail.

A 23-year-old woman who was arrested after the crash was later de-arrested, the force added.

Anyone with information has been asked to call police.
