A motorcyclist has suffered "life-changing" injuries after crashing into a bus stop in Goole.

According to Humberside Police, the bike had earlier "failed to stop" for officers.

The crash happened at about 03:30 BST on Saturday in Stanhope Street, the force said.

A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, the force added.

The BBC has asked Humberside Police to clarify whether or not the motorcycle was being pursued at the time of the crash.
