Guernsey's airline will be continuing its route to Exeter next summer after agreeing closer co-operation with the island's airport.

The new schedule, which starts next summer, will have flights on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flights to Exeter were temporarily suspended in June due to the airline's reliability issues before restarting in July.

Aurigny's CEO Nico Bezuidenhout said the airline had been "very pleased" to resume the popular route.

Ross Coppolo, managing director of airport operator Guernsey Ports, said the airport had worked with Aurigny to understand its needs better.

He said changes included moving aerodrome maintenance outside of normal operating hours to support the flight schedules.

Mr Coppolo said it would give aircraft more time to return to Guernsey at the end of the day so they can start on time the following morning.

Mr Bezuidenhout said: "We look forward to working more closely with Guernsey Ports in the months and years ahead to further improve strong air links for our communities."
