A teenager was arrested on suspicion of riding an e-bike dangerously and assault in Chichester

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of assault and riding an e-bike dangerously in public in Chichester.

The arrest of the 17-year-old, from Chidham, followed an incident on East Street on Boxing Day at about 13:00 GMT, according to Sussex Police.

The e-bike was seized and the suspect remains in police custody.

Police are appealing for information and video footage of the incident.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: "We'd like to thank the numerous members of public who assisted at the scene, and those who have provided witness statements."
