A teenage boy is appearing in court after being charged with possessing a knife in Wolverhampton.

Police said the 14-year-old was due at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Monday following an arrest at the weekend in the All Saints area.

West Midlands Police said officers detained a boy on Maxwell Road on Sunday afternoon and recovered a knife.

The force appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
