A home has been left badly damaged after a fire.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service (DSFRS) said three crews were sent to the property in Tiverton at 22:24 GMT on Sunday after reports of smoke coming from the back of a building.

The crews from Bampton and Tiverton were able to put the fire out using two hose reel jets, and confirmed all people were accounted for after entering the property using breathing apparatus.

DSFRS said it had launched an investigation into the fire which caused "50% damage and 100% smoke damage to the property".
