A man has pleaded not guilty to several wildlife offences and criminal damage after dead animals were left outside a village shop.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary was called after 50 dead hares and several dead birds of prey were found outside Broughton community shop in March.

James Kempster, 37, from Totton, pleaded not guilty to possessing a dead kestrel and owl and damaging the shop front.

He will go on trial at Southampton Magistrates' Court in May 2025.
