A vehicle stopped by police was found to be carrying about 250,000 cigarettes.

Officers intercepted it on the A63 Clive Sullivan Way in Hull at about 13:15 BST on Monday.

A 37-year-old man was arrested "on suspicion of knowing or believing an article bearing a counterfeit mark to be counterfeit, and supplying or delivering it", according to Humberside Police.

The force said he had been released on bail while investigations continued.
