Two dogs, one a suspected XL bully, have been seized after a man suffered serious injuries in an attack, police said.

The 64 year old was attacked at a home in New Road, Dawley, Telford, Shropshire, on Thursday morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said he was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, but police said they were life-changing.

An inquiry is under way but West Mercia Police said it was an isolated and contained incident with no wider threat to the public.
