Chris Reekie from St Andrews took this shot of singer Tom Grennan while he was performing at the women's open golf tournament.

"Nessie in the form of a Chihuahua", said Many Wolf who sent in this photo taken while on a boat on Loch Ness.

Florbela Almedia sent in this photo of Bass Ross she took while on a Seabird boat trip in North Berwick. She added it was a great opportunity to find out about the "wondrous creatures that live there" and the sun even came out.

"I've just been for an evening stroll with my wife and took these of the Forth Bridge. Such a calm night it was almost spooky," said Kevin Wyatt who sent in this photo.

Soaking up the last of the summer sun in style: Maureen Barber took this photo on 31 August from St Cyrus in Aberdeenshire.

Francis Grant sent in this 'spectacular' photo of a firework. The firework display marked the end of this year's Cowal Highland Gathering in Dunoon.

"A beautiful end to August," said Aileen Gilles who took this photo at Ronachan Point in Kintyre.

George Mutch from Midlothian took advantage of some maintenance at the Kelpies to photograph them without any lights on. He said: "It was a unique opportunity to capture the iconic Kelpies during sunset in their natural beauty."

Cute or cheeky? This pine marten was spotted by Michael Lee in Inverie, Glen Carry.

A view worth getting out of bed for: William McCraken sent in this photo taken during an early morning to catch the sunrise over Slain Castle near Aberdeen.

Woman's best friend: John Dyer sent in this photo of a lady and her dog enjoying a walk on Traigh Mhor, Isle of Lewis.

"Chewbarka": Ian MacQueen from Dundee sent in this photo of his Yorkie-poodle which has possibly the best name ever. It was taken halfway up Kilbo Path during a hike from Glen Doll to Driesh.
