Man charged after glass thrown at police officer

A man has been charged after a glass was thrown at a police officer during unrest in Solihull.

West Midlands Police said officers were responding to a large gathering on Damson Lane in Solihull last Sunday when the glass was thrown.

Adam Turner, aged 38 from Birmingham, was arrested on Friday and has now been charged with violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker.

He was remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Saturday.
