An armed robber threatened staff with a wooden bat at a convenience store during a raid in Crewe.
The robber burst into Morrisons Daily on West Street shortly before 21:10 GMT on Monday, and escaped with cash from the till.
The raid comes after two armed robbers targeted another Morrisons Daily in Crewe, on Gainsborough Road on 18 February, and got away with cash and cigarettes.
Anyone with information or video footage that could help identify the offender was asked to contact Cheshire Police.
Officers have said they are keeping an open mind as to whether the two raids are linked.
In relation to the West Street shop robbery, Det Insp Mills, from Cheshire Police, said: "Inquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we are doing all we can to identify those responsible.
"I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and believes that they may have seen anything suspicious."
