A cocker spaniel was put to sleep after being attacked by three other dogs in Nottinghamshire.
Strict restrictions were imposed on a bully XL and two Staffordshire cross dogs after the attack in Snape Wood Nature Reserve on 3 March.
Their owner Leon Wilks, 42, was charged with three counts of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.
The injured pet had to be put to sleep as a result, police said.
Muzzle requirement
Wilks, of Dyce Close, Snape Wood, pleaded guilty to the charges and appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 15 September, where a contingent destruction order was imposed on each of the dogs.
The attack happened when the three larger dogs were off their leads and spotted another dog on a walk with its owner.
The animals then set upon the cocker spaniel, with the smaller dog being left with catastrophic injuries as a result.
As part of the order, Wilks' dogs are now each required to wear a muzzle when outside and must be kept on a lead held by someone aged 16 or over whenever they are taken for walks, the force said.
Any of the dogs seen to be breaching this order have been ordered by the court to be seized and put down.
Wilks was also made to pay a total of £500 in compensation and a fine of £400.
