Shots have been fired at a house in County Londonderry while two people were inside.
It happened on Thursday night around 23:30 BST in Glenvara Drive in Coleraine.
No injuries have been reported.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have described the incident as a "reckless attack".
"We are lucky that we are not investigating a murder this morning," said Det Ch Insp Kerry Brennan.
"There is no place in society for criminals who think they have the right to put the community at risk in this way."
The PSNI are appealing for anyone who may have "noticed any suspicious activity, or captured dash-cam or doorbell footage, which could help the investigation".
Locals in the area told BBC News NI that they were "shocked at what happened" and described the area as a "quiet neighbourhood".
