Teenager, 19, dies in stabbing near Finsbury Park

Police have launched a murder investigation after a teenager was stabbed near Finsbury Park, north London on Thursday morning.

Met officers were called at 02:50 BST to reports of a man injured in Stroud Green Road, at the junction of Tollington Park.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has not yet been formally named but police have informed his next of kin.

Police say there have so far been no arrests, but are appealing for information from the public.
