Four people 'seriously' injured in 'violent' incident

Four people were taken to hospital with "serious" injuries after an incident in a residential neighbourhood.

Police were called to Isham Road, in West Town, Peterborough just after midnight on Friday to "reports of violence".

Officers went to the scene and arrested seven people, aged between 15 and 43, on suspicion of violent disorder. They remain in custody at Thorpe Wood police station.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said the four people taken to hospital were in a "serious but not life threatening" condition.
