A woman has suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision between two cars in Leeds.

The woman, aged in her 60s, was driving a Skoda Kodiaq on Woodhall Road towards Calverley when it collided with a Volkswagen Up travelling in the opposite direction.

She was taken to hospital for treatment after the crash, which happened just before 14:30 BST on Wednesday, West Yorkshire Police said.

The force appealed for witnesses or anyone with footage to get in touch.
