Two boys in court over alleged college assault

Two boys charged after a student was injured in an alleged assault at a college have appeared in court.
A man in his late teens was taken to hospital and later discharged following the incident at Reading College in Kings Road at about 14:20 GMT on Thursday, police said.
A 17-year-old boy from Reading was charged at the weekend with wounding with intent and possessing a bladed article on school premises. A 16-year-old boy, also from Reading, was charged with assault by beating.
The boys, who cannot be named because of their age, appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday and were bailed to appear at a hearing on 13 March 2026.
