Boy, 15, pleads guilty to terrorism charges

The teenager appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday

A 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to a series of offences linked to extreme right-wing terrorism.

The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, admitted 10 charges including dissemination of terrorist publications and racially aggravated criminal damage.

The boy, from Stockton-on-Tees, appeared at Westminster Youth Court on Wednesday.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Newcastle Youth Court in June.

Counter Terrorism Policing North East said the teenager was first arrested in December and again in January.

Appearing in court via video link, he pleaded guilty to five offences of collecting or making a record of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

The boy also admitted three counts of dissemination of terrorist publications, along with one each of criminal damage and racially aggravated criminal damage.
