Tributes to 'much-loved' murdered 80-year-old

The family of an 80-year-old man who died after being found with serious injuries at his home have paid tribute to him.

Anthony Scarrott died in hospital three days after he was found in Westcourt Road, Worthing, on 11 September.

Arno Engels, 39, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder.

Mr Scarrott's sister, Sandy, said her brother was "loved by so many family members and friends".

"I just want to say, Tony, sleep tight and remember the show must go on," she added.

Detectives have since launched a murder investigation.

Mr Engels, of no fixed address, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Friday, charged with the murder of Mr Scarrott

He has been remanded in custody
