A man has been jailed for 12 and a half years for his involvement in two shootings.
Jack Walker, from Northampton, was sentenced at Teesside Crown Court following the shootings in Staindrop, County Durham, on 28 March and Thornaby, North Yorkshire, on 12 April.
The 30-year-old had admitted possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and assisting an offender.
Previous charges of attempted murder were dropped as no evidence was offered.
Det Con Victoria Patrickson, of Cleveland Police, said the "dangerous gunman" went to two homes in Durham and Cleveland.
"On the first occasion, the bullets passed straight through the front door with one bullet found lodged in a vacuum cleaner and another found wedged in an internal wall," she said.
"On the second occasion, two rounds of ammunition were fired into a residential property, where a bullet was recovered from the media wall in the living room."
