A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car mounted pavement and hit four people before being driven away.
Officers were called to Prince Street, Walsall, just before 17:00 BST on Friday, West Midlands Police said.
"The driver fled the scene and two men in their 20s were taken to hospital with serious injuries," a force spokesperson said.
Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening and the two other men were not seriously hurt.
Officers said they arrested the 27-year-old man on Friday night and he remained in custody for questioning.
They added officers have found a vehicle they suspected was involved.
