Teens and eight-year-old sought over racial abuse

An eight-year-old is among eight youngsters being sought be police over racial abuse shouted a person.

Northamptonshire Police said the incident happened in Gainsborough Road, Corby, on Monday at about 20:00 BST.

Officers said a resident was disturbed by a group of young people banging on their front door.

When the householder asked them to stop, one of the group shouted "a racist comment" before they all ran off, police said.

The force said the eight children involved were all described as white, with the youngest appearing to be about eight years old, with the rest aged between 16 and 18.

Most were male and were wearing black or grey tracksuits, with one female described as wearing a white jumper and having dark straight shoulder-length hair, according to officers.
