All lanes have now reopened after a car fire halted traffic on the M4 in Wiltshire.

Traffic was temporarily stopped on the eastbound carriageway between junction 17 for Chippenham and junction 16 for Swindon.

National Highways had earlier warned of a 60-minute delay on approach while recovery work was carried out.

It has since confirmed that recovery work has been completed and congestion has eased.
