Dead kittens found dumped in street

The kittens were found inside a pink metal crate near a block of flats

Four kittens were found dead dumped in a metal carrier in Nottingham.
In an appeal on Wednesday, the RSPCA said the four emaciated cats were found in the street by a passer-by outside Colwick Woods Court Flats in Sneinton.
The discovery was made on 23 July and inspectors believe the animals were left either that day or the day before.
It is not known if the eight-week-old black and white kittens died of starvation before being dumped or were abandoned before dying.
The pink crate that contained their bodies contained upturned empty food dishes.
'Never the answer'
The RSPCA, which is appealing for help to find the person responsible, said the cats would have suffered in the days leading up to their deaths.
Inspector Kathleen Burris said the charity was also concerned for the kitten's mother and any other possible siblings.
She said the kittens had suffered "horrendously and unnecessarily" and added: "This was a horrendous discovery for anyone to make.
"We are hoping someone may have seen something or knows something about who owned these kittens.
"Abandoning animals is never the answer."
