A road was closed after a car crashed into an electricity pole and caught fire.

Cambridgeshire Police said the B1040 Ramsey Road was closed from Whittlesey to Pondersbridge after the electric vehicle left the road on Saturday.

The driver of the vehicle had slight injuries, the force added.

Police remained at the scene into the evening and the incident left about 35 homes without power.
