Driver suffers 'life-threatening injuries' in crash

A driver suffered "life-threatening injuries" in a crash on a rural road.

The crash happened at 07:55 BST on Thursday near Oundle in Northamptonshire.

The woman was driving a black Vauxhall Insignia which was in collision with a blue Audio Q4 on the B662 Clopton Road close to the A605 roundabout.

The B662 in the area was closed while the incident was dealt with.

The Vauxhall driver was taken to University Hospital Coventry.

Northamptonshire Police said the Audi driver suffered minor injuries.

Investigators want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash-cam footage of the incident or the cars involved.
