Five people and dog escape as fire destroys tent

Firefighters were called to the blaze at Llandysul, Ceredigion early on Tuesday

Five people and a dog have escaped from an early morning fire which destroyed a tent.

All five received oxygen therapy after the blaze in Cross Inn, Ceredigion.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews from New Quay and Aberaeron responded shortly before 05:15 BST on Tuesday, and left the scene about 90 minutes later.

Officers said that when they arrived the trailer tent was well alight, and the fire, which was caused accidentally, also involved a gas cylinder.
