Police have issued an appeal to trace a potential witness to a fatal crash in Lincolnshire.

The crash - at the crossroads junction of the A607 and B1202 at Boothby Graffoe, near Lincoln, happened at about 16:50 BST on 11 October, and involved a silver Peugeot van and a motorcycle.

Lincolnshire Police said the rider of the motorcycle died from his injuries.

Officers said they wanted to trace the driver of a medium-sized hatchback car - possibly grey, silver or white, who may have been in the area at the time.

A police spokesperson said: "Investigators have been working on the case in the months since in a bid to piece together exactly what happened.

"New testimony from a witness at the scene has now come to light and we are appealing to members of the public for help."

The force added that the driver of the hatchback was not involved in the crash, but could provide important evidence.

A 31-year-old man who was arrested at the time on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink was released on bail while investigations continued.
