A man has died in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Leicestershire.

Leicestershire Police was called to the crash involving a black BMW X7 and a blue Suzuki GSX R600 motorcycle on the A6006, near Shoby, just after 16:30 BST on Sunday.

A man in his 50s - who was riding the motorbike - was pronounced dead at the scene while the BMW driver, a man in his 30s, was not injured, the force said.

No arrests were made and an investigation is ongoing.

The force is asking any witnesses to come forward.
