Motorcyclist named after Yorkshire Dales crash

A 55-year-old man who died following a motorbike crash in North Yorkshire has been named by police.
Michael Woods, known as Mikey, was riding near Giggleswick and Settle Golf Club in Settle when his white, red and blue BMW motorcycle collided with a grey Skoda car, North Yorkshire Police said.
The crash happened at about 15:00 BST on Saturday at the junction of Mill Hill Lane and the B6480, the force added. The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Paying tribute to Mr Woods, from Morecambe, Lancashire, his family said: "Mikey was a much-loved son, dad, brother, and friend to many.
"He will be sadly missed."
Police thanked members of the public who gave first aid at the scene until emergency services arrived.
