Two teenagers have been arrested after a boy was robbed by a group of dirt bike riders in a Leicester park.

Leicestershire Police said the 14-year-old victim had his bike stolen after he was threatened with a knife in Western Park just before 17:45 BST on Thursday.

Armed police were deployed to search the park and a police helicopter identified two dirt bikes.

The force said the riders, both 16-year-old boys, were arrested on suspicion of robbery following a pursuit.

Both teenagers remained in custody on Friday as officers appealed for witnesses to come forward.
