Police constable charged with attempted rape

A Leicestershire Police constable has been charged with attempted rape.

Kristopher Ford, 35, was charged with eight other sexual offences, including six counts of sexual assault, and has been suspended from the force.

The charges relate to a period of time between 1 March 2024 and 30 April 2024.

Mr Ford, of Leicestershire, is due to appear at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He has also been charged with one count of causing a person to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity, and one count of sending a photograph or film of genitals for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification and being reckless as to whether that person would consent.
