Motorcycle rider, 19, dies in collision with car

Police are urging witnesses to support their investigation

A 19-year-old man has died after a collision involving a motorcycle and a car.

Essex Police said it happened in High Garrett, near Braintree, shortly after 19:50 GMT on Wednesday.

The road was closed so officers could investigate after the motorcycle rider died at the scene.

Det Insp Mark Fraser said: "I want to express my condolences to the family of the man who has died at this unimaginably painful time."

Police urged anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch.
