A person has been taken to hospital after a property fire in Devon.
Fire crews were called to the blaze in Roundham with Hyde, Paignton, at about 22:30 BST on Tuesday.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said on arrival crews saw smoke and flames coming from the roof space. The service added the blaze was spreading to a neighbouring property and requested further help.
One person was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to hospital due to smoke inhalation, the service said.
It added: "The initial property sustained approximately 50% damage by fire and smoke and 20% by water.
"The second property sustained approximately 40% fire damage and 20% water."
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
