Residents have been advised to keep their doors and windows closed as firefighters tackle a fire at a community centre.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the fire at the centre in Trelander, Truro, had started on the ground floor but had spread to the roof on Monday afternoon.
The service said it had sent six fire engines to the site at 17:25 BST and at 19:30 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were still working to put the fire out.
Residents should close their doors and windows in order to avoid smoke plumes, the service added.
