The producers behind the reboot of detective series Bergerac are looking for Jersey-based extras.

Westward Studios put out a casting call looking for people to play the part of background extras and supporting artists.

Applicants must be over 18, have their own transport and be available for the rest of August and September.

The production team said it was a "fantastic opportunity" to be a part of Jersey's "rich cultural scene" and contribute to the new TV series.

The original BBC series, based in and depicting Jersey, aired from 1981 to 1991 - featuring John Nettles as detective Jim Bergerac.

It was announced in April actor Damien Molony would play the part of Jim Bergerac in the new series.

People interested in being part of the new series can find out more information on the Westward Studios website, external.
