Four men jailed in connection with teen murder

Four men have been jailed in connection with the robbery and murder of a teenager.

Cameron Bailey, 17, died from a stab wound after a gang accosted him and his friend on 7 May 2023 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

Three of the defendants were convicted of conspiracy to commit robbery and a fourth was jailed at Reading Crown Court for assisting an offender.

A fifth man, 18-year-old Jayden Gubetini, of Coe Spur in Slough, Berkshire, will be sentenced next month for murder.

Thames Valley Police said: "Violence and knife crime will never be tolerated in the Thames Valley and the offenders now have a long time in custody to reflect on their actions that night."

Mr Bailey had travelled to High Wycombe with a friend from the Brighton area in West Sussex.

Reading Crown Court heard that Gubetini first robbed both victims of drugs on Saturday, 6 May.

The following day, Gubetini returned to High Wycombe alongside Scott Cordice, Aaran Pattinson and Philip Solomon, where they robbed Mr Bailey and his friend in Easton Street.

Bailey was fatally stabbed and his friend was wounded.

Gubetini fled to the Netherlands afterwards but was brought back to the UK in July last year.

Four men were sentenced on Thursday at Reading Crown Court:

• Aaran Pattinson, 33, of Station Close, High Wycombe, was found guilty of manslaughter and conspiracy to commit robbery. He was jailed for 10 years and six months

• Philip Solomon, 38, of no fixed abode, admitted conspiracy to commit robbery. He was also sentenced to 10 years and six months

• Scott Cordice, 30, of Station Close, High Wycombe, was sentenced to eight years and six months after being found guilty of conspiracy to commit robbery

• Marlon Cato, 51, also of Station Close, was sentenced to five years and six months for possessing a class A drug with intent to supply and assisting an offender

Gubetini was found guilty of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and wounding with intent.

He was due to be sentenced on 10 December.
