A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a crash in Jersey.

States of Jersey Police said officers were called to Pier Road, St Helier, at about 07:00 GMT on New Year's Eve. The force said a vehicle hit a wall close to Haut du Mont flats and parts of the wall collapsed and fell on to Le Quai aux Marchands.

Police said the driver of an Audi A5 had minor injuries.

Officers said a 26-year-old man was arrested and released on bail pending further inquiries.
