Shop staff at One Stop were robbed at knifepoint

A man has been charged after shop staff were robbed at knifepoint, police have said.

Alfie Hough, 25, of no fixed abode, has been charged with one count of robbery and two counts of possession of a bladed article in a public place.

It comes after £80 was stolen from the One Stop shop's till in Sandell Place, Amesbury, Wiltshire, at about 11:40 GMT on Saturday. Mr Hough is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Det Con Martyn Powell said: "This was a terrifying incident for the staff where they were threatened with a knife."
